Notice: Use of PushPad
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to inform you about a supplemental learning tool we will be using in [your classroom/our school] this year. PushPad helps learners engage with focused lesson pads that reinforce and extend classroom instruction.
What is PushPad?
PushPad is a supplemental learning tool that allows educators to create and assign focused lesson pads. Learners access lesson pads through secure PIN-based login, complete activities, and receive feedback on their progress. PushPad uses progress tracking and engagement elements to support learning.
What Information is Collected?
For learners under 13, PushPad collects minimal information:
- Learner Name: To identify learners and personalize their learning experience
- Learning Progress: Lesson completion, quiz scores, and activity participation
- Login Information: A secure 6-digit PIN (no email or password required)
- Technical Data: Basic usage data to ensure the platform functions properly
What is NOT collected: PushPad does NOT collect sensitive personal information such as home address, phone number, Social Security number, or precise geolocation.
How is Learner Data Used?
Learner data is used solely for educational purposes:
- Tracking learner progress and identifying areas for improvement
- Providing personalized feedback and recommendations
- Allowing educators to assess learning outcomes
- Improving the educational experience
Important: Learner data is NOT sold to third parties, used for advertising, or shared for commercial purposes.
Data Security
PushPad protects student data with:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure authentication with PIN-based login
- Access controls limiting who can view student data
